It takes more than just a little guts,
To chase your New Year’s resolutions.
I know it’s hard to feel secure,
When even friends will call them mere illusions.
As some may sneer and laugh in doubt,
It takes courage to see them true.
But keep your head up high and cheer,
And shout aloud, “THIS YEAR’S MY YEAR!”

To all my fellow dreamers, I’m sure we all share a common goal: To one day do what we truly enjoy full-time!
My mission is to make it happen for me by 2025. As some of you may know, I write corporate BS (oh, you know what I mean, lol) by day, and lovely, swoon-worthy, badass stories by night. I actually feel like Bruce Wayne as I switch gears and delve into my true passion — fighting crime — oops I mean, writing fiction, poetry, and children’s books.

I dream of the day this will change to “fiction stories by day, and more fiction stories by night!” And, oh yes, also garden to my hearts content.

A Viking’s Curse is my very first published complete story. My goal for January is to finish the third and last installment entitled A Viking’s Fate. To achieve this, I went on a month-long leave from work in November to join NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) where I aimed to write 50k words. I did it! — and then proceeded to slash 20K out of it because that much was simply gibberish!

Anyway, a few more weeks and the full story will be done! My goals after that: Three new stories for 2023!

A Viking’s Curse is a Beauty and the Beast Re-Imagining.
And the next story will be another Re-Imagining. And that’s all I’m saying 🙂
